ინკლუზიური განათლება
Since 2013, AISI College has been implementing an Inclusive Education Program within the framework of the project “Introduction of Inclusive Education in the Vocational Education and Training System of Georgia”, funded by the Ministry of Education and Research of Norway.
Each year, 15–20 persons with special educational needs and disabilities are enrolled in the College’s educational programmes. Students with intellectual disabilities, sensory impairments, visual impairments, mobility difficulties, and behavioural disorders are trained in various professions.
The learning environment at AISI College and its branches is fully adapted to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
The College is equipped with all necessary resources and equipment (electric wheelchairs, text readers, audio recording devices, etc.), which facilitate the full participation of students in the educational process.
Planning and Implementation of Individual Alternative Testing for Applicants with SEN/Disabilities
Assessment of applicants with special educational needs and disabilities, identification of their professional interests and pre-vocational skills, development of alternative approaches, and planning of the testing process.
Promotion of an Inclusive Culture
Providing a student-friendly and socially supportive environment and fostering positive attitudes among peers.
Continuous Support for Students with SEN/Disabilities
Assessment of students’ independent functioning skills (mobility, communication, and self-care skills), creation of an environment based on universal design principles, and provision of human support resources (personal assistants, mobility support staff, and sign language interpreters).
Increasing the Effectiveness of Learning Outcomes
In cooperation with vocational teachers and other specialists, assessing the vocational education needs of students with SEN/disabilities and adapting the learning process accordingly; providing the necessary learning resources; applying various types of adaptations (accommodation and modification); and developing individual learning plans.
