On 6 March 2013, the College opened a modern wine laboratory equipped with advanced technologies. The laboratory was established on the initiative of AISI College and with the support of the GIZ “Private Sector Development in Georgia” programme (GIZ PSDP Geo).

Students of the Viticulture and Winemaking programme have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in a laboratory setting. The College’s wine laboratory represents a best-practice example of how vocational education can be better aligned with labour market needs through private sector involvement.

The wine laboratory offers local farmers wine quality assessment based on 19 parameters, which supports the commercialization of their products on the local market.
